Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Jeffrey Shelley began his higher education at Auburn University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2007 and then his Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2008. He then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry for his dental degree in Orthodontics. While pursuing his dental degree, Dr. Shelley was named "Best in Session at the 2012 Hinman Dental Meeting Poster Session. He completed a year of general practice residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham between 2012 and 2013. Dr. Shelley is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Alabama Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the American Dental Education Association. His adventurous spirit and amazing chair side manner will win you over in a matter of seconds. For leisure, he enjoys attending Auburn football games, playing golf, and competing in triathlons. Dr. Shelley resides in Gainesville, Georgia with his wife, Shea. They are excited to be part of our community and they are looking forward to getting to know all of our wonderful patients.
He graduated in 1995 from Gainesville High School, where he was active in both football and baseball. While at college, he was recognized for several prestigious achievements: The President's and Dean's List as well as the National Dean's List, President of the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the highest GPA Award for the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi. In addition, he was an active member of his fraternity, Sigma Chi, holding offices of Scholarship Chair and President of the Alpha Nu Pledge Class. He graduated from North Georgia College and State University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and minor in Biology in 1999.After college, Dr. Wilson attended the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class in 2004. This achievement earned him a position in the Orthodontic Residency Program at the Medical College of Georgia, from which he graduated in December 2006. While at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Wilson was active in the American Student Dental Association and served as chairman his junior year for the annual ASDA golf tournament. He also was active throughout his dental career in research and was asked to present his findings in San Antonio and Hawaii.Dr. Wilson married his wife, Bonnie-Lynne, in December 2006. They are currently living in Gainesville and have two daughters, Lilly-Kate and Hartley, one son, Baylor, and two dogs, Duke and Bailey. Bonnie-Lynne is practice coordinator for Wilson Orthodontics and also is employed by Northeast Georgia Health System as a hospice bereavement counselor working with children who have lost a parent or sibling. Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and family, golfing, boating, traveling, hunting, fishing, and running. He and his family are active members of Lakewood Baptist Church. Dr. Wilson prides himself in thoroughly developing each patient's unique case and furthering his orthodontic practice through new ideas, practicing the latest treatment techniques, and attending continuing education meetings.In December 2006, Dr. Wilson joined Dr. Thomas Field's 30-year-old practice and transitioned the practice to what is now Wilson Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Hinman Society, and the Georgia Dental Association. Upon graduation in 2006, he also achieved the prestigious status of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In 2010, Dr. Wilson voluntarily presented patient cases to the American Board of Orthodontics and has been re-board certified until the year 2021. This is a status that only 25% of all practicing orthodontists obtain in their careers.
Dr. Svetlana Lekht is our associate orthodontist and has been a welcomed addition to our Wilson Orthodontics team since 2010! She enjoys working along side Dr. Wilson and their energetic team members. Dr. Lekht attended Rutgers University where she graduated with highest honors. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2007, graduating at the top of her class. Afterwards, she completed a general practice residency in 2008 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Lekht earned her Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in their 3-year program. It is there that she obtained her Masters of Dental Science Degree. During her time in residency, Dr. Lekht volunteered at numerous events/organizations, including Special Olympics and Give Kids a Smile. Dr. Lekht had the privilege of learning from and working with Dr. Frank Bogdan, one of the leading Damon System braces lecturers/teachers in the world. It was this extensive Damon System training and her director of orthodontics recommendation as ‘one of the top residents to graduate from our program in the last 10 years’ that confirmed Dr. Lekht was the perfect fit for our orthodontic team. Abby is one of our Treatment Coordinators and has over 10 years orthodontic experience. She earned her dental assisting degree from Lanier Technical College and she is state board certified. Abby also earned her associates in science from University of North Georgia. Abby's favorite part of working at Wilson Orthodontics is seeing the observation kids come in and making it a fun experience for them. Abby is engaged to Justin Smith and is excited about planning her wedding and building their new house in Gainesville. She is absolutely crazy about her 4 year old niece, Alleigh! Abby is a board certified hair stylist and she used to participate in wake board competitions.
Ale is one of our certified clinical technicians and she recently joined the Wilson Orthodontic team. She obtained her dental assisting diploma and her orthodontic assisting certificate while living in Louisiana. Ale loves being part of such a friendly staff as well as working in such a fun and fast paced environment. She also loves that Wilson Orthodontics offers the latest treatment options and has high tech equipment. Ale is married to Jeremy, and they have a beautiful daughter, Audrey. While she is out of the office, Ale enjoys shopping and working on house projects. Growing up in New Orleans, you must know that Ale is a huge Saints fan.....WHO DAT!!!!!! Oh, lets not forget she supports the purple and gold of LSU....GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
Angie is one of our appointment specialists and one of the first friendly, smiling faces our patients see when they come into the office. Patients love chatting with her and catching her up on all that is going on in their lives, all while showing off their beautiful smiles. Angie and her husband, Rusty, have two children, Jacob and Michelle, as well as two dogs, Lady and Peanut, and a cat named Nala. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, and painting. She also loves riding with her husband on his Harley.
Beth is our patient representative; she is always ready to greet our patients as they arrive to the office with the biggest smile on her face. Beth makes sure all of our patients are taken care of while they are in our office. Beth's favorite part of being part of Wilson Orthodontics is the staff, the wonderful environment in which we work, and most of all our patients. Beth is married to her husband, Larry. They have two children, Summer and Bonnie-Lynne, and 5 precious grand-children. Beth enjoys decorating, reading, and learning to knit. Before joining Wilson Orthodontics, Beth was a teacher with 20 years of experience, she also worked for Child Protective Services in the foster care department
Bonnie-Lynne is Dr. Wilson's wife and is our Practice Manager. She enjoys getting to know the patients and parents within our practice as well as working collaboratively with her husband, Dr. Wilson, to pursue his dreams of providing beautiful smiles to his patients. Bonnie-Lynne especially enjoys working in the exciting, up-beat, patient-friendly environment present at our office. Bonnie-Lynne has her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and also works as a bereavement counselor for Northeast Georgia Health System Hospice, where she intervenes with children who have lost a parent or sibling. She was born and raised in Oglethorpe, Georgia, and has lived in Gainesville since 2006. She loves to spend time with her family, friends, and dogs, and enjoys traveling and dancing. She loves most being a mother to their three children, Lilly-Kate, Hartley and Baylor.
Candace is one of our records technicians. She attended Lanier Technical College for dental assisting. Candace says, "I love being part of the Wilson Orthodontic team because I am able to work with our patients and follow them as their smile changes and their confidence grows." When she is not working with patients in office, Candace loves to spend time with her fiance, family, and friends. On the weekends you can find Candace bowling, reading, or shopping. You can always catch Candace on the go or learning something new; she is a busy body!
Cheryl is one of our appointment specialists and has worked in our practice for over 25 years. She loves watching our young patients grow into young adults with beautiful smiles. She also enjoys meeting new people and making new friends every day. Cheryl was born in Gainesville and has lived here most of her life. Cheryl's hobbies include: reading, cooking and exercise. She has one daughter, Katie, and two grandsons.
Christina is one of our records technicians. She attended Lanier Technical College and is orthodontic assistant certified. Christina's favorite part of working at Wilson Orthodontics is working with both patients and our orthodontic team, she says, "It's like we're one big family." Christina is married to Sam and they have two sons, Sammy and Zackry. In her free time she loves to sing and dance, but most of all she loves spending time with her three boys. Christina is also a huge Steelers and Lakers fan.
Courtney is one of our incredible clinical technicians. Her favorite part about working at Wilson Orthodontics is seeing all of the changes patients go through from beginning to end. She especially loves how much creating a beautiful smile allows patients to have more self-confidence. Courtney enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and reading. In her free time she can be found spending time with her family and playing with her dog Marley.
Diannah is one of our treatment coordinators. She has 8 years of orthodontic experience. She loves meeting new people and being on of the first ones to have the opportunity to welcome patients to our office. "It is awesome meeting new patients and their families and helping them understand treatment, choosing the best option to obtain the beautiful smile that they deserve." Diannah has been married to her husband, Josh, for 9 years. They have two amazing boys, Deacon and Judson. Diannah loves the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. Diannah loves going to the beach and the mountains, spending time with family, playing with her adventurous boys, being crafty and creative, singing, and attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Hannah is one of our patient representatives and has over 2 years of orthodontic experience. She has been with the practice since 2014 and is currently working on her dental assisting degree. Hannah's favorite part of working at Wilson Orthodontics is being able to interact with each and every patient and watching the great smile that is created over time. Hanna loves spending time with her parents and sister, Carley and her dog, Maggie. In her free time, Hanna enjoys taking trips to the beach and hanging out with fabulous people and her friends.
Jess is our awesome lab technician. He holds a B.S. Zoology degree from the University of Georgia and an A.A.S. degree in Dental Lab Technology from Northern Virginia Community College. Jess enjoys being part of Wilson Orthodontics because he is able to work with his hands to produce appliances that are a blend of science and art which aid in the orthodontic treatment of patients. He also loves being in an atmosphere that encourages excellence and is patient centered. Jess and his wife, Geri, have five children, Chris, Taylor, Cate, Geoff, and Alex. They are also blessed to have four beautiful grandchildren. In his free time, Jess enjoys, wood working, gardening, hiking, and reading good biographies. Jess also loves the comedian, Steven Wright. Here is one of his favorite jokes, "Yesterday I bought a box of powdered water.....I just don't know what to mix it with."
Jessica is one of our appointment specialists. She loves working in the orthodontic field because everyone is always smiling! She enjoys our warm, welcoming office and the great team she gets to work with every day. Jessica and her husband, Eric, have two children, Natalie and Kyle. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, shopping, scrap-booking, photography and crafts. She also loves to sing and dance, but claims she really can’t do either!
Katy is a certified orthodontic technician and has been in the dental field for almost 8 years. She joined the Wilson Orthodontic team in 2012 and enjoys meeting all the patients and learning about them. She loves being able to educate the patients and make their experience a pleasant one. Katy has lived in Georgia all of her life and happily married to her husband Keith. They have two children, Alexandria and Ethan and they enjoy traveling, exercising and spending time with their dogs! They also enjoy attending church at Browns Bridge Community Church.
Kim is one of our appointment specialists, and not only great in the orthodontic field, but she is also a licensed real estate agent in the Hall County area. Kim loves being able meet new people through Wilson Orthodontics. She loves having conversations with them and helping our patients with their orthodontic needs. Kim also loves working with our friendly Wilson Orthodontic family and that Dr. Wilson loves helping his community. Kim has been married to her husband, Terry, for 27 years. They have three children, Chelsea, Jade, and Triston, and 3 dogs. Kim enjoys exercising (you may remember that she taught aerobics for several years in Hall County), crafting, antiquing, and spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, Kim loves serving at Good News at Noon as well as being involved with the local charity "Church on the Street."
Megan is one of our wonderful records and lab technicians. She has a certificate in medical office assisting from Lanier Technical College. Her favorite part of Wilson Orthodontics is always learning something new and seeing the patients smile all day. Megan and her fiance, Ryan, have a rabbit named Hurley. Megan enjoys fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, playing tennis, camping, and going to truck and tractor pulls. She is our true "country girl," and we love her for that. One interesting fact about Megan is that she did not eat her first candy bar until the age of 23....impressive!
Megan is one of our financial coordinators and has been with the practice since 2013. She earned her B.A. degree in communications from Clemson University. Megan enjoys learning about orthodontics and helping our patients’ parents give their child a beautiful smile! Megan and her husband, Adam, have 2 beautiful children, Cate and Aiden. In Megan’s spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, going to the lake or beach, and watching football…..Go Tigers!!!!! Megan is very superstitious, and she loves to eat!
Pam is one of our certified clinical technicians. She joined our team in 2007 and has over 26 years of orthodontic experience. She enjoys working with our patients on a regular basis and creating friendships while watching their smiles improve. She appreciates Dr. Wilson’s drive and motivation to do whatever it takes to make his patients happy. Pam is from Colorado, and has lived in Flowery Branch since 2001. She has two daughters, Chelsea and Taylor, and one son, Marchello. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and photography. Her motto is, “Life is too short so make every day count and always give your best and laugh and smile every day.”
Pat is one of our amazing lab technicians and her background includes both dental assisting working in both dental and orthodontic labs creating appliances for patients that assist in creating their dynamic smiles. She mentions after 25 years of working from home, her favorite part about working from Wilson Orthodontics is having people around to talk and laugh with while doing the work she loves. Pat is married to her husband Lee, and they have a son, Greyson. In her spare time, Pat enjoys baking, canning, and basketry. If you have the chance to speak to her when you are in the office, she will gladly tell you more about herself, she says she's an "open book".
Shannon is one of our certified orthodontic technicians and has been part of our team since 2009. She has 18 years of orthodontic experience likes being able to see the process of transforming smiles from start to finish. Her favorite part of being an assistant is building a rapport with patients and seeing the results of a flawless new smile. Shannon is from Snellville, GA, but has lived in Gainesville since 2008. She has a son, Taylor, and a daughter, Amber. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, exercising, and vacationing at the beach.
Sherri is our practice representative who assists in marketing both in and out of the office. She enjoys getting to know our patients and promoting all the wonderful things that our office does in the community. Sherri appreciates working with Dr. Wilson because he is fun and passionate about creating great smiles. Outside the office, Sherri spends time with her husband, Greg, and her children, Will, Brinkley, and Haley. She also enjoys running, being involved with her kids’ sports and activities, and being active in her church, Lakewood Baptist.
Stacey is our Wilson Orthodontic Charity Spa Specialist. She is state board licensed. Stacey loves that she is able to give back to the community through the services provided in our spa. She enjoys getting to know our patients and their families, as well as community members who often frequent our spa. Stacy has a son, Caleb and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Sara, and her precious grandson. She loves sports, camping, swimming, and hiking. In Stacey's free time, you can catch her going to see the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves, she is our true sports fanatic!
Telia is one of our treatment coordinators. She earned her bachelor and master degrees in music education from the University of Southern Mississippi. After 10 years in the field of dentistry, the greatest reward of her job is the patients. She loves meeting new families, hearing their stories, and giving them beautiful smiles. Telia and her husband, Zach, are the proud parents of Chipper, their miniature dachshund. When Telia is not at work, she loves to travel, attend concerts, and go to sporting events. She also enjoys cooking and exercising. Telia was adopted by her God-given family at the age of 6, she says, "I have the best family in the world and I believe that the Lord has a plan for everyone's life."
Tracey is our communication coordinator, and she also works as a treatment coordinator. She has worked in our practice since 1998 and has more than 28 years of orthodontic experience. She loves seeing great smiles and watching children, teens, and adults smile and light up after treatment. Trey enjoys working with Dr. Wilson because he truly cares about his patients and is always looking for new ways to make sure they have a great experience. Trey is from Dahlonega, GA, and has lived in Gainesville since 1985. She is married to Joey and has two sons, Zack and Chase, and a daughter, Ansley. She enjoys traveling, being with family, friends, and their dog, Gracie.
